 The flow resistance is small. The medium channel in the valve body is straight, the medium flows in a straight line, and the flow resistance is small. 

 It is more labor-saving when opening and closing. Compared with the shut-off valve, because whether it is open or closed, the direction of movement of the gate is perpendicular to the direction of medium flow. 

 The height is large and the opening and closing time is long. The opening and closing stroke of the gate is large, and the descent is carried out by the screw. The phenomenon of water hammer is not easy to occur. The reason is that it is closed for a long time. 

 The medium can flow in any direction on both sides, which is easy to install. 

 The two sides of the gate valve channel are symmetrical. The structural length (the distance between the two connecting ends of the housing) is relatively small. 

 The sealing surface is easy to wear and tear, which affects the service life. 

 When opening and closing, the two sealing surfaces of the gate plate and the valve seat rub against each other and slide, which is easy to produce abrasion and wear under the action of medium pressure, which affects the sealing performance and shortens the service life. The price is quite expensive. 

 There are more contact sealing surfaces, and the processing is complicated, especially the sealing surface on the gate seat is not easy to process, and there are many parts. The shape is simple, the structural length is short, the manufacturing process is good, and the scope of application is wide. 

 The structure is compact, the valve has good rigidity, the channel is smooth, and the flow resistance is small. The sealing surface is made of stainless steel and cemented carbide, with a long service life, and polytetrafluoroethylene filler is used. Sealed and reliable. The operation is light and flexible.
